Peter Sutherland, attorney General of Ireland, following up from recent dinner meeting at UCG and providing thoughts and detail o the developments and implementation of the United Nations Covenants and also the United Nations programme of Human Rights Seminiars (11 May 1983); TS letter from Tardu, United Nations Office, Geneva, to Boyle, Dean, Faculty of Law, UCG, thanking Boyle for the hospitality at Tardu's recent visit to UCG and commenting how impressed he was with the facuilities of the Human Rights Centyre at UCG and wishes to remain in touch with Boyle and be considered for any future teaching in Galway (11 May 1983); Copy TS letter from Boyle to Tardu, inviting Tardu to become a member of the Board of the Irish Centre for the Study of Human rights at UCG, of which Sean McBride was Chairman and also discusses a research projecty on National Institutions and Human Rights across Europe. Boyle also mentions possible future contact from an NGO, 'Concerned Teachers', regarding plastic bullets in Northern Ireland policing.
