Description | Objects and personal mementoes from Roald Dahl's writing hut in the garden of Gipsy House, Great Missenden. The hut was built by Wally Saunders in c.1955 and remained Roald Dahl's personal working space until his death in 1990. He worked in the hut every day for four hours, two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon. The objects in this collection are items which Roald Dahl used during his work (pencils, paper, writing board) or acquired during long years of use of the building, either for inspiration or out of curiosity. |
