| Description | Photocopies of letters sent by Arthur Shields his sister Lini Saurin. Saurin address isn't given but she was presumably resident in Dublin with her husband Charles, then a serving officer in the Irish Army. Arthur Shields first wife Bazie traved with Arthur on this tour, and the son Adam was placed in the Saurin's care durring the tour. According to the letters Shields regularly sent back money to support Adam. These photo copies were probably copied by Laurie Shields after Arthur's death. A photocopy of a letter from Barry Fitzgerald addressed to Lini Saurin from the same tour is also included in this collection. |
