Getting here:
- We are less than a 10 minute walk from Sutton Railway Station which is
served by trains from Victoria and the Thameslink Route.

- Buses that stop in front of the Central Library: 80, 151, 164, 280, 407,
413, 470, S1, S3, S4
- Parking: there is a multi-storey car park in Gibson Road directly behind
the Central Library. Disabled parking is available opposite the Central
Library in St Nicholas Way and in the Gibson Road car park.
Before visiting:
- Check that we are open.
- Please order archives and use of equipment 24 hours in advance by
telephone.
- Bring identification with you if it is your first visit. The following
are acceptable ID: Sutton Library Ticket, CARN Ticket, Drivers Licence,
British Library Ticket, TNA Ticket, Council Tax bill. ID must be current.
- Bring a pencil - we ask our customers to use pencils when taking notes.
- Laptops - laptops can be plugged in but space is limited so please
charge your laptop before visiting.
Facilities
- The Central Library and the Local Studies & Archives Centre is fully
accessible including accessible toilets.
- Refreshment facilities are available in the library or in the nearby
High Street.
- Free Wi-Fi and use of computers
- Free access to Ancestry and Find My Past
